Grandma's Anatomy Notes
Muscle of leg straightens or bends back of leg
Shin bone is one of articulation
There is a mass of muscle hooked on top of knee cap fastened permanently on shin bone.
Most powerful muscle is hooked to knee cap. Knee cap protects surface of bone. Relation to tibia is exactly the same.
There are two sets of muscles which work through the knee cap. Fastens to bones by tendons. Tops of knee should be drawn first.
Muscles end on tendons which in turn are fastened on bones.
Knee cap works on shin bone.
Muscle attached on calf of heel to lower femur bone. Mucle muscle of upper leg attached to upper tibia.
The ankle is the narrowest part of the body yet supports the entire weight of the body.
The weight of the body ends in middle of bump on the shin bone which gives the curve to the leg is the beginning of high point of foot.
Ball of foot contours of big toe
The big toe drops into the ball of foot goes from ball of foot to head of ------to middle of shin bone. And on to the rest of the leg and body.
The little toes are fastened on with separate bones. Their function is to grab ground and hold cushion of heel fastener on ground and flattens out.
Back of view inside of ankle bone is high and outside is low
Line between is right L angle to direction of center bone.
Foot extends and flexes
Principle muscle is to operate foot pulling it down.
